I have a sharp stabbing like pain in my lower left abdomen. What could be causing it?

pain starts in the lower left side of my abdomen and sometimes it will shoot over to the right, up my side or all through my stomach.
Well you'll need to go see a physician because nobody on Yahoo Answers can tell you what is wrong based on what you said. You need a thorough examination and possible diagnostic tests too. And the doctor will want to know if this is a new symptom or if it has been going on for a while and what makes it feel worse or better.

It could be your appendix. I would call a doctor. If you know it's not flu like symptoms then it's best to get in right away if possible.

your appendix could not be doing good, those are the symptoms of your appendix getting ready o rupture, call a docter and get it checked out
