Magnets have been popular for a minimum of 20 years on our culture as a way to cure body pains. They are thought to cure back pain and depression. They have been such a popular pain cure that there are many texts in publications and on television. In this text we search deeper to find out whether magnets are truly a pain remedy, and why magnets help.

Though we have understood about magnets for these short years the use of magnets as a pain remedy, goes back to ancient Greece. People were utilizing this remedy at that time in the same way, and getting great effects. In fact, people think so wholeheartedly in magnets that it has become a $5 billion dollar industry.

For a lot of folk, the only reason that they can accept something like this is if it has science validification, however in some cases that it not possible. Though there have been many tests most have been inconclusive as to whether magnets work as a pain cure.

The University of Virginia Study

However a study at the University of Virginia did conclude that magnets help increase blood flow and so deliver more Oxygen to damaged tissue.
They realized that by just using a small magnetic field, magnets could increase the flow of blood — in rates anyway. They are planning to begin clinical trials with human soon.

Magnets and Inflammation
In many cases people say that magnetic treatments reduce swelling and inflammation in joints and other tissue. This being the case, men and women could reduce the time it takes to get over injuries. At least this is the conclusion of the Virginia studyas they showed that magnets can assist in situations that are prone to swelling. consumers who see magnets as a pain cure experience less swelling in their legs hands or joints when they have arthritis.
