Charles has just got a new work horse and Mary offers to put him in the barn for him. While tying him up Jack comes in barking marking the horse nervous. Dispite Mary’s efforts to calm the horse, the horse kicks her in the abdomen. Her crys are heard from the creek where Charles is washing up. Mary claims to be alright just dirty. That night when the family is all together celebrating Charles birthday everyone agress that the best gift was Mary not being injured. The next day at school when Mary is up for jump roping she falls to the ground by a sudden onset of pain in her stomach. Doctor Baker evaluates Mary and tells her to stay in bed for the next couple of days but if the pain gets worse to let her parents know. Later that night Mary is awaken in bed with the same pain only worse she goes out for a drink of water when Caroline comes up to her realizing she is running a fever. Charles goes and gets Doctor Baker. In the morning Doctor Baker doesnt feel right about the situation and says Mary needs an operation but he is not qualified to perform that kind of surgery so him and Caroline need to take her to Rochestor. Once at the hospital the Doctor tells Mary how sick she really is and that he will perform surgery on her tomorrow morning. After speaking with her parents Charles and Caroline go to the finance department to get the expenses for Mary. The cost are higher than they expected but promise to keep up to date on the bill. Early the next morning Mary has her surgery and all appears to have gone well and that they will know in about a week if the drainage had been enough. Relived, her parents go to their hotel to celebrate and send the good news home. Later they go back to visit Mary and are shocked to see her not in her bed the nurse tells them she is in the Doctors surgery. The doctor comes out telling her parents that Mary went into convulsions and will need another operation to remove the disease tissue. She cant have the operation until she is stronger which wont be for awhile. Charles knows that means more money and heads home to sell his farm to pay for Marys bill.

have a mild pain in my abdomen left side,and expierience a bubbling gasious sensation from my stomach,i also have a chesty cough.Slightly constipated.Does anyone kow what thes symptoms are?

It's possibly just a urinary or kidney infection.
I thought I had appendicitis but it turned out to be a kidney infection. Although I never had the cough & I wasn't constipated. Don't know what you mean by the bubbling though :S

its started about a week ago, I had to go pee real bad but I held it in. then all of a sudden the pain began so I went ahead and pee'd but ever since then I have had a dull pain in my upper left right under my ribs part of my abdomen. it tends to inflame when I have to pee. does anybody know what it could be?

could be kidney infection or kidney stones….I've had both…NOT FUN!!

Go to your doctor either way. Left untreated, kidney infections & kidney stones can cause damage. Not to mention they get more painful!!

Peeing a lot and severe pain in lower left abdomen near pelvis?

I've been having these symptoms become progressively worse. I have severe pain in my lower left abdomen (near my pelvis) and I'm peeing a lot. What could this be?
I'm not having fevers (at least that I can detect) and my pee seems normal enough. It's sometimes yellow but then I drink more water and I'm ok. There's also a pressure feeling.

It could be a number of things from bladder infection to kidney infection to appendix inflammation to well just about anything. See in medicine there's something called referred pain where something can be wrong in one spot and the pain can happen in another. You need to see a doctor who can give you a good diagnosis. Even without health insurance go in before you end up in the hospital with more expensive bills. It might be urinary or renal because of the peeing a lot, but it could also be because some kind of inflammation is in that area pushing on the bladder. How does you pee look? Does it smell strong? Any blood in it? Is it cloudy? Are you having fevers? What color is it? Tea colored? Amber? Yellow? There's a world of possiblities and so you need to see someone who has the tools to diagnose you. When I ejaculate, it doesnt feel like I am letting it all out – essentially its unsatisfying and painful. I feel that the semen is being redirected somewhere in my abdomen which is causing the pain. any ideas? thanks for reading about my ejaculate problems.

Day 2 on a complete fast from food

I am keeping myself accountable by posting a video log of my fast. I have this awful pain right in front of my lowest rib on the left side of my back. I’ve spent a few $1000 I didn’t have trying to find a diagnosis. Thought it was kidney stones, but I’ve never had them so nothing to go on except for the descriptions of kidney stones and it sounded similar. Maybe it’s my pancreas? My mother thinks I have arthritis. I don’t know.

Whatever it is, a fast may help cure it. I ready a great book called Therapeutic Fasting by Arnold DeVries(I think that’s how you spell it) and fasting does work to cure all sorts of illness.

My husband was almost paralyzed with pain in his back about 10 years ago. He had to crawl to get to the bathroom and it hurt him just to move.

He went on a 21 day fast and his back got better and never hurt like that again since.

I did go on a 10 day fast about 2 1/2 months ago. The pain in my left upper quadrant of my abdomen didn’t go away, but I was able to stop taking the 10 to 12 ibuprofens each day.

The doctor said to keep taking these pain numbers, but it seems stupid to me. To take over 500 ibuprofens in a 2 month period seems to not be the right way to fix this.

After I went on the 10 day fast, during which I made sure NOT to take any ibuprofens, the pain was much less. There were a few days after I ended the fast that I actually felt almost normal.

The pain kept on growing in the past 2 months though and for the last week or so, I have been taking an ibuprofen at night. I don’t want to just numb my body, I want to cure whatever ails me.

So, since I can’t afford to pay for all of the tests that would need to be done to figure it out, I’ll try to get rid of whatever this is by fasting.

lower left abdomen pain comes & goes frequent but not pain urination all started 2 weeks ago cat scan urin ok?

I'm a 41 year old male please help the doctors had to over look something. I even did a random on my sugar level since diabetes runs in my family I urinate every 2 hours approximately but its never painful. The pain is just above my belt line on the left side. The doctor pushed there and the pain was the worst I ever felt but he does not know whats wrong.

It could be a bladder infection.
